Working with insurers and assessors

A damaged vehicle usually has more wrong with it electrically than the estimate shows. Sensors behind a bumper, connectors crushed in a guard, a crash-locked airbag module or a harness pinched during the impact will not always light up the dash, and they turn into supplementary claims once the car is back on the road.

We scan the vehicle before repair work starts and again once it is finished, and we put both in writing. That gives the assessor an evidenced picture of what was actually faulty on arrival, which is what settles arguments about whether damage was pre-existing.

We can attend at the panel shop, the holding yard or the assessment centre. For total loss and salvage vehicles we also handle safe isolation before anything is moved or dismantled.

What we handle for the trade

Pre and post repair scans

Full module scan on arrival and again on completion, supplied as a written report for the claim file.

EV depower and reinitialise

Controlled high voltage isolation so your team can start work, then reconnection and verification when panel work is done.

Airbag, SRS and crash data

Diagnosis of the SRS system, crash data reset where the module is serviceable, replacement and coding where it is not.

Module programming and coding

New and replacement modules programmed and coded to the vehicle, including used parts and factory option changes.

Wiring and harness repair

Repair of damaged looms, connectors and earth points, rather than replacing an entire harness where it can be avoided.

Fleet servicing and call-outs

Scheduled electrical maintenance at your depot plus priority attendance when a vehicle goes down.

Why the documentation matters

A stored fault nobody recorded before the repair becomes an argument after it. We put the vehicle's electrical condition in writing at both ends of the job so there is nothing to dispute.

Scan reports supplied for every diagnostic job, insurance or otherwise.

Fleet operators

Running vehicles off the road to a workshop costs more than the repair does. We come to the yard, work through vehicles in batches where we can, and invoice monthly rather than job by job.

That suits transport and logistics operators, trade fleets, rental and hire operators, and any business running a mixed fleet where the electrical work is currently spread across several suppliers. As fleets take on electric and hybrid vehicles, it also means the high voltage side is handled by the same people who already know the fleet.

  • Scheduled electrical inspections across the fleet
  • Pre-RWC electrical checks before vehicles are sold or re-registered
  • Key and immobiliser management as drivers change over
  • Priority attendance for vehicles that are off the road
  • Consolidated monthly invoicing with per-vehicle detail

Setting up an account

  1. 01

    Tell us what you run

Vehicle numbers, sites, and how quickly you need a vehicle attended when it goes down.

  2. 02

We agree rates and response times

Written terms covering labour, call-out and turnaround, so there are no surprises on invoices.

  3. 03

Book through one point of contact

One number and one email for bookings, rather than chasing individual jobs.

  4. 04

    Monthly invoicing and reporting

A single statement with the detail broken down per vehicle and per job.

Calibration after the repair

Where a repair disturbs cameras, radar or the windscreen, the driver assistance systems have to be recalibrated before the vehicle goes back to the customer. Our sister company National ADAS Calibrations handles that side, so electrical diagnosis and calibration can be booked together instead of being chased across two suppliers.
